Meet Sloane Six

14_sloane051616Sloane Six, is the mother of 13-year-old son Skylar, and is the Farmer/Owner of Quarry Hill Farm and the historic Mainland Inn. Quarry Hill Farm is dedicated to growing and raising 100% organic, sustainable, humanely raised, heritage breed livestock and heirloom fruits and vegetables. The farm raises a variety of land animals such as lambs, ducks, turkeys, rabbits, chickens and guinea hens, eggs, honey, heirloom vegetables, herbs, foraged native species and a small orchard. The Mainland Inn is committed to using locally sourced ingredients, much of which comes from the farm. These seasonal, nutrient dense ingredients, in the very capable hands of Chef Max Hosey, produces an exceptional culinary experience, which has garnered a 3 Bell rating from Philadelphia Inquirer food critic Craig LaBan. February 2016 marked eight years since Sloane was diagnosed with breast cancer. Her son Skylar was 5, and when faced with her mortality, she decided to leave the stressful business world and focus on becoming a survivor. Health and well being became her passion, and she embarked on an entirely new life of sharing her passion and knowledge of the health benefits of nutrient dense, sustainable food with the community
